Musician Minh Chau with passion for traditional music
Musician Minh Chau is a very familiar one to pop audiences through his popular songs such as Light of my life (Anh sang doi toi), A peaceful day (Mot ngay binh yen), Fairy Dance (Vu khuc than tien)... Although he is f thanks to the happy, fresh, young pop songs, the real passion of Minh Chau is found in songs soaked with folk tone.
Musician Minh Chau was born in Da Nang, and grew up in Ho Chi Minh City. When still very young, he revealed musical talent in many areas such as performance instruments,  music composition. Minh Chau began writing songs at the age of 17 and so far he has had more than 200 songs in many genres, but the most favorite is still the pop songs for young people. Besides being a musician, Minh Chau is also known as one of the music editors for such programs as Viet Nam Idol 2007, Mystery Tone ... and most recently the Show “Singing music idols” broadcast on VTV3. Aside from being a famous musician in the field of music for young audiences, rare people know that musician Minh Chau is passionate about writing epics, a distinctive folk music, according his sharing: "I want to write epics because only epics fully express the things I want to say."

The epic “Buc tranh non nuoc” composed in 2003 with four sections: Northern Folk, Ehco of the Mid, Southern Music and Flowery Vietnam with the singing of Quang Linh, Thanh Thuy, Trang Nhung and Quoc Dai amazed audiences of a young musician, but being very devoted to traditional music. The flute, đàn tranh, monochord ...was fully utilized in all sections of that epic. "That epic just specializes scenery of Vietnam, while ideas of writing about Vietnamese and their souls haven’t been realized” said Minh Chau. During 6 years, he wrote and then deleted every note, every lyric in his epic of Vietnamese (Nguoi Viet). Both “Buc tranh non  nuoc” and “Nguoi Viet” are not too difficult to listen to most of the audience, even for young ones, because they are about the Vietnamese people in our homelands.

Music Path of August under the theme "Flowery Vietnam" (Vietnam gam hoa) is a concert designed to introduce to music lovers with the songs associated with the fame of musician Minh Chau. The program has the participation of such singers: Anh Tuyet, Quang Linh, Lam Truong, Tuan Hung, My Le, Thanh Thuy, Minh Quan, Nam Dong Ke and 4 Tenors and will be broadcast live on VTV3 at 20 pm on August 7th, 2011. The program is held Vietnam Television in cooperation with Eurowindow and Melinh PLAZA .
